Housekeeping

Job description

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors

  • vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies

  • dust and polish furniture and fittings

  • clean metal fixtures and fittings

  • empty and clean trash containers

  • dispose of trash in a sanitary manner

  • clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers

  • wipe down glass surfaces

  • make up beds and change linens as required

  • tidy up rooms

  • wash windows as scheduled

  • sort, wash, load and unload laundry

  • sort, fold and put away clean laundry

  • operate mechanized cleaning equipment

  • maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working conditions

Dietary Aide

Job description

Those who are looking to join a highly motivated, growing health facility are encouraged to apply for our Dietary Aide position. We are currently seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with nutritional standards, internal procedures and government regulations while preparing and serving foods and beverages to all residents.

Personal Support Worker

Job Description

  • Following the care plan, observing and reporting any substantial findings and/or changes in patient/resident/client’s behavior to the appropriate registered member of the healthcare team

  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Healthcare Professional such as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

  • Performing tasks delegated to them (only if they are trained to perform the delegated task)

  • Assisting with ambulation, positioning and transferring using mechanical lifts such as a Hoyer lift.

  • Assisting or providing total personal care such as toileting, bathing and perineal care.

  • Assisting with eating, dressing and grooming.

  • Assisting nursing staff by answering call bells

  • Performing sitter duty or patient watch for confused patients in clinical care settings.

  • Computer or paper documentation of Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) and other findings.

  • Reporting behavioral and clinical changes to a Registered Practical Nurse, Resource Nurse or Manager.

  • Self actualization by helping patient/resident/client to reach maximum potential.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience, PSW certificate a must.
